Max wins at Silverstone, Red Bull claim consecutive win

Verstappen lost his pole position but won after Norris passed him

Max Verstappen cruised to victory in the British Grand Prix for his sixth win in a row and a record-equaling 11th consecutive triumph for Red Bull.

Verstappen lost his pole position advantage on the run to Turn 1 as Norris swept past him after making a superb start.

But the Dutchman was back in front just six laps later as he passed Norris with DRS down the Wellington Straight.

Norris was powerless to respond as Verstappen built a comfortable advantage, with Hamilton also unable to keep pace with the race leaders.

Hamilton did close in on Norris in the closing stages, but the seven-time world champion was unable to find a way past and had to settle for third.

Sainz finished fourth ahead of Perez, who recovered from a poor start to take fifth.

Alonso finished sixth ahead of Leclerc, who struggled with tire degradation in the closing stages.

Ocon, Gasly, and Bottas rounded out the top 10.

Note - Verstappen scored an additional point for setting the fastest lap of the race.
